Croatian SMEs Gain Access to €300 Million EIB Financing for Business Expansion

On 28 October 2026, EIB and HBOR signed a €300 million financing agreement to support Croatian SMEs investing in modernisation, innovation, technology and business expansion. The amount represents the first tranche of a €500 million financing framework, with at least 30% of the signed tranche directed towards climate and environmental projects. Although this is not a dedicated venture-capital fund, it can create financing opportunities for eligible growing businesses and innovative companies.
