Pakistan Raises Currency Transaction Reporting Threshold to Rs3 Million
On 28 October, Pakistan’s National Executive Committee on Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism approved an increase in the currency transaction reporting threshold from Rs2 million to Rs3 million, representing a 50% revision. The decision updates the reporting framework used by banks and other relevant institutions to identify and monitor cash transactions under anti-money laundering requirements.
